Company History

    BioData Services Inc., was founded in 2006 by David Skipper, PhD in response to local physicians searching for an objective and analytical support source.  This support needed not only to be objective and analytical, but also affordable and easy to use.  Due to increasing governmental and private sector pressure, several key obstacles were identified for resolution.

BioData Services completed the initial product technology and software to meet these needs, and has continued refining the innovation since initial completion.  This technology and software represents the core of BioData Services analytical service products, and can easily be modified to specific medical needs or upscale based on demand.

HealthGeometry Summary

    In 2007, health care costs in the U.S. alone exceeded $2 trillion. The size, complexity and dynamic nature of the health care industry present enormous challenges to health care providers, consumers, insurance payers and suppliers of therapeutic drugs and medical devices, all of whom are potential customers for HealthGeometry information products. Health care individual physicians and payors in particular are highly dependent upon timely and accurate information relating to patient needs, epidemiological trends, new treatment protocols and ever-changing accepted standards of care in order to operate effectively in this complex environment. HealthGeometry is a novel solution to this need for information which leverages billing data and associated patient information already provided by physicians to insurance payors. HealthGeometry will anonymize the patient information and subject data relating to symptom profiles, diagnoses, treatment protocols and treatment outcomes to a statistical analysis tailored to the specific needs of the information consumer. Because the HealthGeometry core product leverages data already collected by physicians in the course of their standard billing process, the collection of data required for HealthGeometry analysis places no additional burden on individual physicians or hospital business staff. This will not only facilitate physician participation, but also it will allow HealthGeometry to provide a high level of end-user value at low cost. Moreover, customized analysis of the same input data can provide high-value information to other segments of the health care industry such as insurance companies, patients, pharmaceutical companies, government agencies and public health researchers.

HealthThinker Summary

    HealthThinker is the analytical software and back end technology which makes the rapid analysis turn around, and distribution for HealthGeometry possible.  This product is currently only utilized in HealthGeometry services, and is founded upon the initial development by BioData Services.  Through optimizing the back end process and utilizing "outside the box" thinking, HealthThinker minimizes the cost of supplying value driven analysis, without compromising the security or integrity of the data utilized.
